PHILLY D.A. is a production of the Department of Motion Pictures and All Ages Productions, and is a co-production of Independent Television Service (ITVS) with funding provided by Corporation for Public Broadcasting in association with PBS and Topic Studios.

International sales: Dogwoof

A groundbreaking documentary series embedded inside the long shot election and tumultuous first term of Larry Krasner, Philadelphia's unapologetic District Attorney, and his experiment to upend the criminal justice system from the inside out.

For years, creators Ted Passon, Yoni Brook, and Nicole Salazar followed Krasner’s journey, giving not only fellow campaigners but also his opponents opportunities to have their say. PHILLY D.A. is the first documentary series to screen in Berlinale Series; it tells a distinctively American story of universal relevance. An Independent Lens Original Series, produced by Salazar and Oscar-nominees Michael Gottwald and Josh Penn (Beasts of the Southern Wild), among others.
